Atletico Madrid leads the standings a while in the La Liga first week. Colored with two goals from Diego Forlan, Atletico ripped Sporting Gijon wicket four times.
Because the victory over Gijon 4-0, Atlético became the team with highest goal difference the first week of the Spanish League. Surely it makes them appear as standings leader.
