Arsenal vs Liverpool (Carling Cup), Aquilani debut against Arsenal

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usLIVERPOOL – The waiting time Newer Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani, to play with his team is over. After a long injury lay, he would live action debut as “The Reds” against Arsenal in the Carling Cup on Wednesday (10/28/2009).

The Red” successfully brought Aquilani of AS Roma for 20 million euros. Unfortunately, Rafael Benitez could not play him with the first team because of ankle injury when he was defending Rome. However, thanks to the hard work of medical teams, Aquilani gradually recovered. He also had appeared for 15 minutes with the Liverpool reserve team, beat Sunderland 2-0 on October 21, 2009.

He was in the midst of the crowd at Anfield as Liverpool 2-0 Manchester United three days ago.

“There’s amazing at this stadium last Sunday. One of the best games I have seen so far. Normally I do not like to watch the game in the stadium when was not playing. But I enjoyed last Sunday.”

“When in Rome, although a larger stadium, the atmosphere was not the same as here. At Anfield fans closer to the field, you can feel a better atmosphere.”

Aquilani was immediately happy to hear the news. He was determined to provide the best in its inaugural debut. “It’s fun to play because I have not played. But, playing for the first time with the new team is something different and I look forward to it,” he said.

“I really wanted to play but I need more patience. I know the time will come. I’ll be happy when I make a debut,” he added.
